PROCESS
I developed this process based on past experiences and best practices to serve as a roadmap for successful client collaborations. The straightforward four-step sequence provides enough structure to keep projects focused, and enough flexibility to adapt to incoming information.
Definition: developing a framework for the project together, setting goals, gathering requirements, identifying information resources, and determining the project scope, schedule, and budget.
Development: reviewing and thinking through the details of the project, managing any assigned resources, and creating solutions. This is a collaborative process that includes opportunities for client review online or onsite.
Refinement: optimizing the developed solutions together by input from key stakeholders within the company as well as direct user input, either solicited informally or through the "Listening Lab" user testing process.
Deployment: creating a launch strategy and rollout plan, and gathering feedback to measure and monitor the success of the deployed solutions.
As the project enters new iterations, the process begins anew at the definition stage.
